Different Types of Walkers You Need to Know About
People might need a walker for different reasons and there is a wide selection of walkers to choose from, but all primarily depends on the need. For instance, the needs of any disabled adult will be very different from the walker and needs of an old person with a normal state of mobility.
The right type of walker and walker accessories that you buy depends on your physical condition. Majorly classifying, there are two types of walkers – those with wheels and those without.

Two-wheel walkers
These walkers have two front
legs with wheels and aid in individual needs weight-bearing assistance to some
extent.
Three-Wheel
Walkers
These walkers have two wheels
on the back and one in its front and usually come with a basket, tray and pouch
to keep medical items.
It is made for people who need
not necessarily lean on the walker, a four-wheeler has wheels on all legs.
Rollators or Knee Walkers
Rollators are medical walkers
designed with wheels, a crossbar, and a seat, designed with the idea to allow
the user to stop and rest as and whenever needed.
Standard Walkers (without wheels)
A standard walker is a commonly
found one and designed to help the user to lean on the walking aid and offer
friction off the ground with the rubber shoes/base under each leg. This makes
walking easy, sturdier, more stable.
Folding/Adjustable Walkers
This category includes walkers
that are adjustable according to the user’s height. As the name says, they can
be folded, thus making storage and transportation quite easy.
